PREMISE
All the stories are true. Years ago, the Fae came out because technology was making it harder and harder for them to hide, and it's been a couple of years since the werewolves did the same. The world is changing day by day. Humans and the paranormal live side by side, but it's not easy nor is it simple. While the Marrok has taken great lengths and care to preserve the werewolves' PR front, everyone - wolf, fae, vampire and other - know that it's only a matter of time before the humans start thinking that perhaps the other stories meant to warn of the dark are true. This is an open post set in the universe of Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series. The books are amazing and you should definitely check them out. More information via this Wiki link. The rules are simple: Drop a prompt, leave a tag, and let's play!

Oh, no. Not even a little. On both counts. [Mirth bubbles up as she grins at him in the moonlight, giving her a burst of energy that has her pulling him closer to her once more. Her hand strokes over his hair as she watches his face, suddenly so at ease. A weight lifted off of her.] I am not frightened that you might hurt me, and you were definitely not too rough. You could get rougher and I would make it very clear how much I'd enjoy that.
[She strokes him and touches him still, hands running over him now as much for his pleasure and comfort as it is for her enjoyment. Her touches veer ever so slightly on the side of possessive, gently grasping, squeezing at him along the way.
But while it had seemed obvious to her that his fears were unfounded, it occurs to her that something might have prompted his worries anew.]
Were you worried about that because of how I was earlier? Because I can explain if you need me to...
no subject
Impulsively, he reaches for Eun, desire stirring once more in his belly in response to her touch, her honesty - just, her. The kiss is not meant to stoke the fires of need again, though he would not be opposed to more. But kissing her... centers him. And perhapsnit is the moon and her song tonight, but he is too far beyond caring over throwing caution to the wind. ]
You must understand, Eun, [ he murmurs the words against her lips. ] I often frighten people - wolves and humans alike. No matter that they are drawn to me at the beginning.
But yes. It had crossed my mind. And frightening you is the last thing I wish to do.
no subject
I am a very good judge of character, mi amor. I recognize that you have the potential to terrify everyone around you if you choose to, or, as you say, if your control slips your grasp. [Cupping his cheek once more, she kisses him with more heat.] You scared me earlier in the woods today only because I did not know it was you. And tonight, you pleased me very, very much.
[Her fingers trail along the side of his face, obviously considering her words, and when they come they are offered lightly still.]
I wasn't scared of you, I was...unexpectedly overwhelmed by the force of what I felt at the end. By the more nuanced things that showed me how much I had let my guard down around you, and the emotions at the peak and the aftermath. But most of that has to do with me and none of it to do with fear.
[Eun's smile returns more certainly then as she presses a kiss to the corner of his mouth.]
I think if we were to put a more concentrated and less-rushed effort into making love you might find me similarly overwhelmed at the end. And on the flip side, I would be more than happy to talk to you about the ways I would enjoy you getting rougher with me.
no subject
His lashes lower for the span of a heartbeat, gaze on her skin as he lets his hands follow the slope of her shoulder and the valleys and curves that make up her form.
When he looks back up at her, there is a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. ] Then I would like to know more about what your tastes are.
no subject
I love to see you smile at me.
[Firsts, so many firsts. If she had a list of the first time she's ever kissed him this way, or touched him that or, or let him do the same to her, or something she's said or he's said...her list would be several pages long. Being with him somehow makes her feel as if she is becoming more human and connected.]
I think I--and my wolf--very much enjoyed the way you flipped us over, for starters. It feels as though I have my match in bed, which has opened up new opportunities for me. I like the biting enough that I will be checking for marks next time I'm in front of a mirror. You can grip hard, you can pin me, and I trust you enough to say you can move me and know you wouldn't do anything demeaning with that permission. [Eun leans in, brushing her lips against his gently, considering things, before reaching for his hand and moving it to her breast. She moves his thumb and forefinger to either side of her nipple and adds a little bit of pressure, which in turn makes her shiver.] I love what you do with your mouth here, but I also like this, too. Harder sometimes, in the moment.
[Having told him quite a bit, some of which she thinks he already knows, confirmation of others, and this last bit of volunteered information, she falls quiet to give him an opportunity to respond. To ask questions if he has them.]
no subject
He had chosen to be careful tonight. As careful as he could manage, given that his head had been so full of her. When Eun tells him that yes, he can grip and pin and move her, he allows himself a moment to close his eyes, to picture exactly how he might do that.
His lips part when she brushes hers to his again. And when she draws his hand over her breast, he lifts his gaze once more to show the wolf in them; gold in the darkness with a leashed hunger for her skin. ]
Has there been no one to match you between the sheets? [ He says it out of curiosity, not competition. ] That your opportunities have been limited?
[ Asil shifts his body posture then, and with a few touches, invites her to come sit across his lap where they may continue this conversation. ]
no subject
She could give him the long answer, that when it came to the bedroom she focused on men who would let her dominate them, or at least those who would let her lead and use them for her own satisfaction, as their pleasure would then be at least incidental. That if there were men out there who she might have connected with mentally and emotionally, and had that same physical chemistry with, she hadn't met them. That, honestly, she had not looked for them with the same effort that most women her age did.
But having experienced what she did with Asil, knowing now the difference, she doesn't want to break the mood in that way either.]
There have been some who came close.
[She moves up and slips into his lap after a moment's consideration, shifting somewhat to get comfortable. Her fingers play lightly over his shoulder, over his collarbone, exploring still the body of this man who she regards as hers now.]
But since I never wanted to get closer to any of them, there wasn't enough trust there to enjoy everything I might have. It may sound arrogant or close-minded, but I always knew from the start that none of them was worthy of more than what I offered them.
no subject
[ He holds back a smile - rather unsuccessfully - and occupies himself with running his hands through her hair. ]
It is the folly of young men to believe that they are "all that" with very little effort. [ The air quotes is apparent in the cadence of his voice. ] It is not the proper way to win a woman over.
no subject
Kara must have taught him "all that."]
That's true, you did tell me about wooing when we first met. Tell me, Asil, when did you decide you were going to present yourself as the superior choice?
[She is curious, she cannot help but ask, especially in light of how their first few interactions went. Her hand drifts lower in the meantime, tracing along ridges and slopes of his chest and ribs, exploring still.]
no subject
[ His stomach tightens at her touch, molten desire settling at his core. ]
You declared your preference in front of the pack for me tonight. [ Barring Bran's distractions, he did not preen in front of the pups because it was unbecoming. ] When I countered your offer to visit your cabin for breakfast with here and now as an alternative, you accepted.
[ He lets one hand massage the tender spot at her nape, enjoying the sound of the purr in her throat. ]
no subject
Except for the way that he describes how everything happened between them.
Eun lifts an eyebrow.]
If we're limiting this to moments in which we've been in public together, maybe, but that is far from the whole truth, Asil. Can you honestly tell me that when you first kissed me, you were not already presenting yourself as the superior choice?
[She reaches up then, using her fingertip to tease the short hair behind his ear into a circle. If it was longer she would twirl it around the tip.]
Or are we going to argue about semantics when you know what it is I'm trying to learn from you?
no subject
He is wary to disclose and confess, if only because tonight has had several dips and curves by way of emotion. But she asks.
And so: ] Before I answer your question, Eun. Are you asking me as a man, or does this question include the wolf?
no subject
Eun returns it unstintingly, making no effort to rush it to the end until he is ready.]
I hadn't thought of the wolf, honestly, so while I'm curious now, you could just answer for yourself if that's easier.
[She can be fair, putting him on the spot as she is.]

Your angry muffins.
[ He's never told her - is otherwise embarrassed to recall how he'd stretched that plate out to enjoy her little gift. He had admitted in his letter to her that his control had been bad that week. It had been bad because happiness for the sake of simply being pleased or happy is not something he has been comfortable with for a long time.
The muffins had told him and his wolf two things: first, she was not one to shy from her anger. And two, she could deliver care even when annoyed, frustrated, or hurt. ]
no subject
My angry... [She pauses another beat.] The muffins I left you on your doorstep the first time? That is how I won you over?
[Who would have thought that her temper, the one thing that had put off so many others, would apparently be key to winning over very, very old werewolf?]
Why are you calling the muffins angry and not the note? [The one that had merely said "Thank you," and been signed with her first initial.]
no subject
Have you ever read Like Water for Chocolate? It reminded me a little of that.
[ He catches her hands and then brings them up to his lips to kiss, lingering a little because he would like to reassure her. ] I had already been thinking about you. More than I cared to admit to myself at the time.
The idea that you were upset at me - I could not bear it. And that is why I was early at the Marrok's home.
no subject
His explanation does please her, however, even if it also makes her feel ever so slightly sheepish.]
I picked a paper plate because I didn't want to give you something you'd have to return, and practically threw the muffins onto them. [She pauses a beat. She almost adds that in her pettiness she hadn't baked them for him, but for herself earlier that morning.] I read that book in high school so I know exactly what you mean. I hadn't thought...
[A smile tugs at her lips again.]
I think this is the first time my anger has won someone over rather than driven them away.
[It seems another sign among many that they are well-matched.]

It may be my lot in life to find myaelf attracted to women capable of holding their ground in spite of my personal challenges.
[ He leans back against the pillows and holds one of her hands over his heart. ] While I hesitate to deliberately try it, I suspect that you could challenge me and while my temper might rise and not fear my wolf.
But please, let us not tempt fate.
no subject
I'm pretty sure I need more time to wrap you and your wolf around my little finger before I go and challenge you, mi amor. [Her tone is quiet, but still light as she sighs dramatically.] So much work ahead of me.
[She leans forward then, letting her forehead rest against his.]
I understand your warning, and I think I'm clever enough to hold my ground when necessary without aggravating your wolf.
no subject
Bran is convinced that I can recover from my... malais.
no subject
And you are equally convinced that you cannot?
no subject
And deny you the opportunity to wrap us around your finger?
[ Opening his eyes now, the warmth in them directed at Eun. ] There are peaks and valleys, mi amor. But for the last month, more the former than the latter.
no subject
All the warmth in his eyes, welcome as it is, is not enough to stem the swell of emotion she feels. In this moment, intimate enough that she has forgotten the world around them, she is reminded of the depth and strength of her feelings for him. The possessive and protective streak she had as a human is only amplified by her wolf, especially now. She cannot, will not tell him that he should fight for her sake, because right now she may as well be a blip on his timeline currently. However for her relatively short lifespan thus far, he has already become a life-changing part of it.]
I have just found you, and I will not give you up without a fight, Asil. [She swallows, attempting to push down more upsetting reactions.] And that is not a challenge it is...[What? What is it?] Forewarning.
no subject
And yet. He remembers how she had thanked Bran. How the subsequent allusion to a betting pool he did not resent at the slightest had made her smile amongst pack. ]
Eun, [ Asil lifts his own hand to catch her chin; to draw her gaze up to his.
No. No challenge, though he and his beast would welcome it as they would the song of the hunt and of the peace that has crept into the door of his heart. ]
Come here. [ He slides his hand to her nape, to draw her to him so he might hold her. ] I am not going anywhere yet.
It has been more than fifteen years. And in the last two I have realized that Allah has use for me still.
no subject
Being drawn into his embrace challenges her ability to maintain that control, but she is grateful to be held and lays against him with another swallow. Her hands hold, rather than caress.
Unbidden, his talk of years prompts a small voice inside of her. That she wants a hundred years with him. Two-hundred. Three.]
Allah can have use for you, but if I have any say about it, one day you'll find want and use for your life for yourself again as well.
