The Pan Pacific Defense Corps is an organization set up to battle the Kaiju threat through the use of Jaegers. Founded in 2014, the Corps represents an international alliance of 21 nations across the Pacific Rim, bound together by the shared goal of containing, combating and eliminating the Kaiju threat and save humanity from extinction.
In 2014, after the first Kaiju attack on San Francisco, the Pan Pacific Defense Corps was created with the purpose of defending the various countries surrounding the Pacific Ocean that would be under attack from the Kaiju. Soon after, the headquarters of the Pan Pacific Defense Corps was established in Hong Kong, China, this being the first Shatterdome. After Dr. Jasper Schoenfeld pitched the idea of creating giant mechs to battle the kaiju, the Corps were formed to fund the Jaeger Program.

Welcome to Kodiak Island. For the next 24 weeks you'll have the chance to prove that you've got what it takes to be among the few who can pilot a Jaeger. We need capable pilots, so if you don't think you can hack it, better drop out now. The course will follow the following format, so listen up, you have: 1) OFFICER TRAINING: You will be studying tactics, some engineering, basic kaiju science, etc. Study good and study hard and if you're lucky enough to make the cut, we'll be shipping your sorry asses on to — 2) PONS TRAINING: There is a mock-pod simulator where you will learn how to drift with your chosen partner. Can't find a partner? Too bad. You might have the physical skills and the brains to go with it, but if you can't bring yourself to work with another human being, then what the hell are you doing here. 3) JAEGER TRAINING: Alright, you've made it. Report to the test range and get your asses in a Jaeger. INSTRUCTIONS → 1. Post with your character/canon/preferences. (Mod Note: Pacific Rim OCs are very much welcome, if not encouraged.) 2. Tag others. Tag a LOT. 3. Have FUN or we'll feed you to the kaiju. |

chuck hansen ( pacific rim | 63 )
cause chuck hansen needs a whole shatterdome to raise her idek herc see to your kid man
She walks into med-bay because Herc Hansen is off base with Marshal Pentecost at some conference with the beauracrats and as much as Caitin loves Sergio, she understands that he's a terror to the recruits because it's his way of keeping them in line. This makes it easy for her to play good cop, the approachable head of research and development (and unofficial mother figure or so Tendo Choi has said).
Occasionally though, she can be as much of a hardass as her
husband(former) co-pilot. ]Out. [ She barks at the attending nurse who quickly puts down the ice pack she was filling by the sink.
When Caitlin's certain that she and Chuck are alone, she pushes up her glasses and crosses her arms. ]
What the hell was that. The Kwoon is for compatibility training, Charlotte, not settling petty fights.
yes she really does omg
she sits with one arm cradled to her chest and a sullen expression on her face. the one thing that helps with the pain is that the other guy? looks much worse. ]
He had it coming, Doc. [ a beat, and more angry than she usually lets herself get around the authority figures because whatever else might be true about charlotte hansen, she wants to become a ranger more than anything in the world and she isn't going to do anything to jeopardise that. ] Don't call me Charlotte. It's Chuck.

She already feels sorry for the jackass who thought he could take Herc Hansen's daughter, because really? That's all you got in? ]
Who was it?
no subject
Mark Cho. [ she knows better than to keep information from caitlin, at least, though the answer is given grudgingly. ]
